We started our business, Bleu Lily Photography, a little over a year ago on August 1, 2010. It's been an interesting journey and along the way we've been able to discover plenty of treasures that our wonderful city of New Orleans has to offer. Being photographers we bring our cameras practically everywhere and the beauty of technology is that if we don't, we most certainly have our cell phones! Being able to document our journey has been great, we are making memories that we can look back on and enjoy for years to come. We take everything that we do as an experience and our goal is to try all sorts of new things that this city has to offer. Oh, but we don't plan on stopping there; traveling has been a new favorite that we've added to our list of things to do, and we're looking forward to seeing what lies beyond these Louisiana state lines. Life is too short to do anything but enjoy the simple things, so we decided to share our experiences with you in hopes to inspire some of you to do the same.

So, what types of things do we experience? Well, having roots here in New Orleans we love good food! So, a lot of what you'll see here on The Bleu Lily Experience will be food related (i.e. Restaurants, Festivals, etc.) We also love a good deal, so we have a new found interest in places that offer daily specials. You'll also see us post our experience at a venue that we've visited and enjoyed, along with many posts of different events that we attend. We attend many types of events in the city such as networking, fundraising, socializing, premieres, grand openings, concerts and more.

You'll see some of our personal lives intertwined on this site, as with our photography, because who better to have these experiences with then our own family and friends. We enjoy meeting new people and hope that all of you reading this will interact with us and offer feedback. We have a Questions/Suggestions section that we'll hope you'll use if there are any places or events that you think we should experience, or to just ask a question. So, we invite you to come along and enjoy the Bleu Lily Experience with us.

Hey y’all,
Quinn here. I want to introduce you to Sno-La Snowball Lounge, located at 3204 Lake Villa Dr. Metairie, LA 70002.A few weeks ago, Enjoli and I learned about a new snowball business that was doing something different: serving snowballs with a gourmet twist indoors complete with a lounge. We thought it sounded kind of cool and passed by. Let me tell you, this place is awesome!Once we arrived, the familiar sounds of Ne-yo filled the room, comfortable lounge chairs and tables awaited us, the walls decorated with New Orleans Art and various pieces of Fleur de Lis’s caught our eyes, plus the cooling AC was a relief from 97°+ heat.By the time we got to the counter to order our snowballs, we were already having fun. Looking over the menu, we decided on something different so we can sample each other’s, Enjoli got Strawberry Cheesecake and I tried Red Velvet Cheesecake. The snowballs themselves are rich and delicious. What makes these snowballs so good is that they were stuffed with actual cheesecake! Other flavors on the menu include Georgia Peach, Tiger’s Blood and limited sugar free flavors such as Granny Smith Apple, Lemonade and Chocolate. Also on the menu is Ice Coffee, assorted desert cakes and assorted candy, which can also be used as a topping for your snowball. While enjoying our snowballs, we played a game of Jenga and listened to Michael Jackson, and basically chilled out. What’s also great about this snowball lounge is it will be open ALLYEARROUND!Who can beat comfortable chairs, the escape from hot weather with cooling AC, music, board games and gourmet snowballs? There is much fun to be had at Sno-La Snowball Lounge!

You know what I love most about New Orleans?
The food, specifically Poboys. After leaving Beaucoup Juice (located down the street, see post below) we stumbled on Freret Street Poboys and Donuts. We realized how hungry we were and decided to try something new. This place is a unique neighborhood restaurant located at 4701 Freret Street, New Orleans, LA.
They specialize in Classic New Orleans Style Po-boy’s, Fresh Donuts made in house, and traditional New Orleans cuisine such as Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo made with seafood, chicken and Creole Meatball & Spaghetti.
It has a real homey feel to it kind of like a diner. Local art work is streamed across the walls, the staff were very hospitable and friendly, and the smell of fresh Poboys and donuts was divine. We all chose different Poboy sandwiches and Zapp’s Potato Chips. Can we say delicious?! We got so stuffed on the Poboys we didn’t have room for donuts, but we will definitely be back!
