We started our business, Bleu Lily Photography, a little over a year ago on August 1, 2010. It's been an interesting journey and along the way we've been able to discover plenty of treasures that our wonderful city of New Orleans has to offer. Being photographers we bring our cameras practically everywhere and the beauty of technology is that if we don't, we most certainly have our cell phones! Being able to document our journey has been great, we are making memories that we can look back on and enjoy for years to come. We take everything that we do as an experience and our goal is to try all sorts of new things that this city has to offer. Oh, but we don't plan on stopping there; traveling has been a new favorite that we've added to our list of things to do, and we're looking forward to seeing what lies beyond these Louisiana state lines. Life is too short to do anything but enjoy the simple things, so we decided to share our experiences with you in hopes to inspire some of you to do the same.

So, what types of things do we experience? Well, having roots here in New Orleans we love good food! So, a lot of what you'll see here on The Bleu Lily Experience will be food related (i.e. Restaurants, Festivals, etc.) We also love a good deal, so we have a new found interest in places that offer daily specials. You'll also see us post our experience at a venue that we've visited and enjoyed, along with many posts of different events that we attend. We attend many types of events in the city such as networking, fundraising, socializing, premieres, grand openings, concerts and more.

You'll see some of our personal lives intertwined on this site, as with our photography, because who better to have these experiences with then our own family and friends. We enjoy meeting new people and hope that all of you reading this will interact with us and offer feedback. We have a Questions/Suggestions section that we'll hope you'll use if there are any places or events that you think we should experience, or to just ask a question. Hey everyone,

today I want to tell you guys about Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, a locally owned restaurant located at 615 S. Carrollton Ave. New Orleans, LA, off of St. Charles along the river bend.

After going to our local farmers market (post for another day), I decided to treat my boyfriend to something he hadn’t had before to lunch. I’d been there before a couple of times but this time I had my camera. The food is always delicious: this time I tried a Chicken Caesar Wrap and he had a Chicken Caesar Salad. They serve a variety of different pastas, wraps, pizzas, salads and calzones, some of which are healthy.

The parking isn’t that great, however there is parking along the side streets. Once you’re inside, music is playing, local art work is streamed along the walls, and a disco ball overhead completes the ambiance of this place. Moderately priced, great (healthy) food and a friendly staff awaits you at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen!
